This came following the Ilocos Norte board's approval of a resolution on Monday (June 6), designating BHWs as barangay-level Health Education and Promotion Officers (HEPO), who shall assist primary healthcare providers in ensuring a proactive and effective implementation of health promotion policies, programs, and activities in the community. The Muntinlupa City government has identified the high priority groups as it unveiled its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination plan for residents.

Earlier, the city government announced that it would allot P170 million for the vaccination rollout and has ordered 400,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca.
Under its vaccination plan, which was approved by the Muntinlupa City Council and will be submitted to the Department of Health and Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), the top priority for vaccination are medical frontliners.
The local government of Muntinlupa City has created the Task Force on COVID-19 Vaccination that will supervise the registration of people, conduct information campaigns, and ensure that vaccines are in good condition.
