The latest laser internet technology has been developed at Alphabets California innovation lab, called X, and the project is known internally as Taara. It uses light beams to deliver fast internet services. Alphabets website notes that like fiber, but without cables, Project Taara uses light to transmit information at super high speeds through air in the form of a very narrow, invisible beam.
