(CNN) A Dutch couple have become the proud new tenants of the country s first ever 3D-printed house.
Elize Lutz and Harrie Dekkers have been given the digital key to the gray, boulder-shaped building in the Bosrijk neighborhood of Eindhoven, in the southern Netherlands.
The single-story home has more than 1,000 square feet of floor area, with a spacious living room and two bedrooms.
Lutz, 71, and Dekkers, 67, replied to an advertisement seeking tenants for the groundbreaking project.
Now retired, the former shopkeepers from Amsterdam will move into their new home on August 1 although their tenancy will last for just six months.

Tenants have now moved in to Europe’s first fully 3D printed house, which has been built out of layers of concrete in Eindhoven.
The house, a detached single-storey home with two bedrooms, is designed to look like a boulder to fit in with the natural surroundings, while at the same time demonstrating the versatility of 3D printing.
The property is the first of five homes planned by the construction firm Saint-Gobain Weber Beamix in Bosrijk. The builder forms part of Project Milestone which also includes real estate developer Vesteda, Eindhoven University of Technology and engineering firm Witteveen+Bos.

Could this be the future? For the past few years, a team from Eindhoven University and the Vesteda housing corporation have been working on Project Milestone: a futuristic development project which will see a total of five fully 3D-printed homes “built” in Eindhoven.
