Pakistani student groups will gather at the Islamabad and Lahore press clubs on Monday to protest the Israeli attacks on Palestinians.
âJoin us to protest the deadly Israeli assault on Palestinians in Jerusalem and Gaza,â the Progressive Students Federation said in a Twitter post.
Activists of various political and religious groups, including the Jamaat-e-Islami and Imamia Students Organization, carrying anti-Israel posters and banners took to the streets in major Pakistani cities to express solidarity with Palestinians.

KARACHI: A human chain was formed alongside the Gujjar Nala, from Liaquatabad Daak Khana to the Khamosh Colony graveyard under the banner of the Awami Workers Party, Women Democratic Front and Progressive Students Federation on Saturday.
The demonstration was organised by the victims of illegal evictions in the Gujjar Nala and Orangi Nala areas, as well as the K-Electric Labour Union, SSGC Insaf Jafakash Union, and Progressive Trade Union Federation.
A large number of Karachi citizens, including women and children, participated in the protest and chanted slogans against the federal and provincial governments.

KMC begins demolition of leased houses along Gujjar and Orangi drains

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporationâs (KMC) anti-encroachment department has started demolitions of leased houses and commercial units surrounding Karachiâs mighty Gujjar Nullah.
The Gujjar Nullah is a natural drain in the city that starts flowing from New Karachi and ends at the Chuna Depot in Haju Mureed Goth, Teen Hatti, where it falls into the Lyari River. The original length of the nullah was 13 kilometres and it was 210 feet wide. In a massive anti-encroachment operation planned at Gujjar Nullah in the District Central on Monday, the corporation started demolitions of proper houses at three different points.
