Gps have voted to reduce visits to patients homes, saying they no longer have the capacity to offer them. Doctors supported the proposal at a meeting of english local medical committees on friday. But the health secretary, matt hancock, said the idea of taking home visits out of gps contracts was a complete non starter. Jenny kumah reports. Family doctors say their workload is on the rise, and this, coupled with falling gp numbers, mean something has to give. A Police Officer has been charged with the murder of the former footballer Dalian Atkinson, who died after being tasered. The ex aston villa striker was restrained by officers at his Fathers House in telford, in 2016. A second officer, also from west Mercia Police force, has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm. Both appeared in court on thursday, as our correspondent sian lloyd reports. But three years ago, police were called to his fathers home near telford. A taser was discharged and Dalian Atkinson was restrained. He died shortly afterwards following a cardiac arrest. What happened there was investigated by the police watchdog. Following that independent inquiry, two west mercia Police Officers, whose identities are being protected, appeared in court today. Both were charged

Things such as building a den for your dog, somewhere dark and quiet, where the dog can hide. Close your curtains. Put your tv up, put your favourite album on and turn it up. Anything to distract the dog from what is going on. Even in the home, they are still alarmed . Absolutely. Ever so loud noises, they are unnatural sounds for an animal and oui unnatural sounds for an animal and our dogs pick up on it. In the worst case scenario, a dog can be so fearful, it will never work again. For us, that represents a cost of £56,000 to train and care for the dog. For the blind person affected by firework, that can mean. You cannot put a cost on that. In terms of the number of fireworks displays, it seems to go on a long time, people need to plan. We realise that people want to celebrate and use fireworks for their celebrations but what we really would encourage peopl
