The candidates are the republican nominee, president george bush, the independent, ross perot, and governor bill clinton, the democratic nominee. My name is Carole Simpson and i will be the moderator for tonights 90 minutes debate coming to you from the campus of the university of richmond in virginia. Now tonights program is unlike , any other president ial debate in history were making history now and its pretty exciting. An independent polling firm has selected an audience of 209 uncommitted voters from this area. The candidates will be asked questions by these voters on a topic of their choosing anything they want to ask about. My job as moderator is to, you know, take care of the questioning, ask questions myself if i think there needs to be continuity and balance, and sometimes i might ask the candidates to respond to what another candidate may have said. Beyond those committed by one or two actors. The case for example where 36 men in our view were executed after a flawed trial with confessions extracted under torture is one example of that. International authority should first and foremost ensure justice and ensure victims have access to remedies. But were far from that situation. Theyre not able to do that. And sometimes theyre not willing to do this. I raise this with Prime Minister abadi and with president barzani and the Kurdish Regional government. Some of the perpetrators are also in syria. And so we shouldnt forget that this cuts across iraq and syria. International justice mechanisms are relevant. But we know that neither syria nor iraq has the commissioners just mentioned have ratified the statute. They should do that immediately and accept jurisdiction from 2002. The Security Council should stop playing politics and actually make sure that they take care of their responsibilities. All governments should exercise universal ju

Then he heard a scuffle then he heard a loud shrieking that he thought rather came from his d robins fiance David Frostick was arrested that night. Listen as the prosecution and defense play out their cases during Opening Statements earlier this morning. What David Frostick told detectives that night over and over. Well tell you what is that coming up after football

They were using pumps to get it over but then they grounded. It was the middle of the night at 3 00 a. M. We received the first call for a boat distressed. They ran ashore but they didnt know where they were. As one of the boats trying to find them it appears they hit a sand bar causing them to cap size two miles from where the fishing boat got stuck. The crew of five managing to swim safely to shore. We didnt find the exact rescue flares from the boat. People alerted authorities. We smelled fumes in the air coming through the windows.
