These are other 24 7 facilities which this Response Team could take people to and get them the help they need. Through the chair, i just think its important to talk about how this team is distinct from the h. O. T. Team and the e. M. S. I know it feels like a lot of teams, but we fought to make sure that the language requires coordination amongst all of these teams. They really do have distinct roles. So the h. O. T. Team is not supposed to be experts on Behavioral Health. Their mandate is to outreach and engage with people who are experiencing homelessness. Lets remember, not all people experiencing homelessness have Mental Health or addiction issues. So they are they have another role entirely. Its about well, thats a role that not all of us feel comfortable with now and were always constantly battling out, but it is distinct and separate from the issue of Behavioral Health. The e. M. S. 6 team, the firefighter has to come when there is a physical risk to safety. So its not just that
Except, perhaps, for phil. So as these events started 23 years ago at the height of the aids epidemic, when a small group of friends gathered in the newly established grove to celebrate still being alive in the face of a very uncertain future. As well as to remember those already lost to the plague, these folks got together to do this by dancing together with vibrant silk flags such as these and i just wanted to show you these. They look like this, made of silk, and hand tie tiedyed. For smrkwe believe those who wee lost trafficking so young would want to be remembered for their vibrant lives. Our events are always free and typically wellattended by regulars, for whom we feel we provide an uplifting experience in these times of growing isolation in our society. To spanned beyond our established core crowd, we very happy to be embraced. For the most part, we do our own thing, and most of society is not aware of what we do. So were very happy to ar arrange a special event that day to rep

Hearing is entitled an examination of the federal Housing Administration and its impact on homeownership in america. And i now recognize myselffor four minutes to give an Opening Statement. Okay. There was a time when fhas policies explicitly denied access to the American Dream of Home Ownership to black families and people of color. Making owning a home a privilege afforded primarily to white americans and and contributing to the racial wealth gap as we knowit. As a Third Quarter of 2019, the white homeownership rate is 73 percent compared to nearly 40 percent for latinos and 43 percent or black homeowners. Today, fha lays an Important Role in our Housing Finances that is helping to ensure that access to homeownership is broadly available and in fy 2019 alone fha helped over 615 thousand borrowers become homeowners for the first time with over 33 percent of fha markets endorsements. Serving minority owners and half serving low to moderate income borrowers. Fha also plays a vital role
