The General Surgery Residency Program is the third of Bayhealth’s Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs to launch and has recently earned accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). General Surgery Program Director Bradford Mitchell, MD, FACS, ECNU, is leading the charge. He is an experienced general surgeon who specializes in endocrine surgery and sees patients with Bayhealth General Surgery, Dover, as part of Bayhealth Medical Group.
Bayhealth’s General Surgery Residency provides comprehensive surgical training for licensed physicians recently graduated from medical school. It is a five-year program where residents will work under the guidance of faculty physicians. Welcoming these new doctors will mean greater access to top-notch surgical care for our community
