Of the Oakland Airport in october 2018 still, allegations that immigrants may have been denied due process left many concern. Oaklands current sanctuary status left others questioning whether the deportations violated the citys policy. Beneath busy union square, crews are working on San Franciscos central subway project. The 1. 6 billion project, 1. 7 mile project will connect chinatown to south market. It is behind schedule initially set to open in 2018 but plagued with slow downs including construction delays at the chinatown station and a contractor initially laying down the wrong kind of steel tracks. 9 latest completion date was pegged for february of 2020. Today the citys Municipal Transportation Agency offered a tour of the work under way. The new project director says, he will look to see what a central subway project stands right now. My first priority, beside Everything Else is to look and see how much time it will take to finish this job and start running the trains.
