However, the chief scientist of the World Health Organisation, Dr Soumya Swaminathan, has advised against a complete lockdown in India. As per a report by The Indian Express, Dr. Swaminathan said that citizens should try to manage the pandemic s second wave in the country without a lockdown as it can have a terrible consequence.
