TGA Boss urges public to report adverse events post-vaccination

TGA Boss urges public to report ‘adverse events’ post-vaccination06/05/2021|12min The head of the TGA Professor John Skerritt has encouraged the Australian public to report “adverse events” in relation to coronavirus vaccines. It comes following suspected clotting cases in both Queensland and Tasmania. Speaking on Thursday, Professor Skerritt noted that for every 1,000 doses of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine administered, the TGA receives “between six and seven – on average - adverse event reports”. “These are reports, they’re not necessarily cause and effect from the vaccines … and overwhelmingly these reports are of the sorts of things that are associated with any vaccination generally – fever, joint pain, muscle soreness, tiredness, maybe even nausea,” he said.
