Professor Sir Mason Durie has been asked to lead a steering group to provide advice on governance arrangements and initial appointments to the board which will oversee the establishment of the Māori Health Authority.

A son of the newest member of the exclusive Order of New Zealand says it s an honour not just for his father, Professor Sir Mason Durie, but for his mother.
