The drama follows four women looking to recapture the fame they achieved as the 90s hip-hop group, Nasty B tches. Having been estranged for about 20 years, the four must work to regain the swagger they had as the iconic group that made them legends in the hip-hop world. The series stars Eve as Brianna aka Professor Sex, Naturi Naughton as Jill aka Da Thrill, Brandy as Naomi aka Xplicit Lyrics and Nadine Velazquez as Valeria aka Butter Pecan, as well as Taylor Selé as Eric Jones and Pepi Sonuga as Lil Muffin. ABC has picked up the hip-hop drama featuring Eve, Brandy, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez as four estranged and out-of-touch women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture the fame and swagger they had as the Nasty Bitches, a ’90s group that made them hip-hop legends.
According to Deadline, Eve stars as Brianna aka Professor Sex, Brandy as Naomi aka Xplicit Lyrics, Naturi Naughton as Jill aka Da Thrill, and Nadine Velazquez as Valeria aka Butter Pecan.
In the first 30-second teaser, the ladies reunite for the first time in 20 years to perform at “the biggest Black award show in the world,” but they only have four days to rehearse.
