A PRESIDENTIAL aspirant for 2023 general election and former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Professor Peter Umeadi has argued that electing an Igbo as president of Nigeria in 2023 would ensure full integration of all sections of the country, which is being clamoured for since the end of the Nigeria civil war 51 years ago.
Umeadi spoke when delegates from Akwa Ibom and Cross River states, as well as the leadership of the forum for 2023 Igbo president visited him as part of a ceremony where former Presidents – General of 2000 communities from the five South East states endorsed him as Igbo candidate for 2023.

FORMER Presidents – General from over 2000 autonomous communities in the five South East states have endorsed the immediate past Chief Judge of Anambra State, Professor Peter Umeadi as Igbo candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
At a well – attended ceremony at Nri in Anaocha local government area of Anambra State, the Association of South East Past Presidents – General called on Igbo people, irrespective of their political affiliation, to support the endorsement of Umeadi because he would make everyone proud and give Nigeria the best president ever.
National president of the association, Nazi Omeife Omeife explained that with the endorsement, all the autonomous communities in South East would start to spread the message.

The former chief judge of Anambra State and presidential aspirant for the 2023 election on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Professor Peter Umeadi has condemned the recent abduction of some students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, urging the federal government to bring the perpetrators to book.
Umeadi spoke at a meeting of delegates from the five South East states under the banner of South East for Professor Peter Contact Group.
Umeadi said: “My heart goes out to all the students of Government Science Secondary School (GSSS) Kankara, Katsina State, who were recently abducted.

You have been a judge in Anambra State and you rose through the ranks to become the Chief Judge of the state, a state that has a history of turmoil in politics, what has been your experience in the Anambra State judiciary vis-à-vis, problems in politics?
The judiciary is the third arm of government and that is where you are faced with adjudication of matters that come before the court. Politics is essentially run by the executive and the legislative arms of government.
