Veteran Steve Kennedy s runner-up finish was his first Top-5 showing since his victory at Lake Dardanelle in 2017. A lackluster second day pretty much eliminated his chances of overtaking eventual wire-to-wire winner Jeff Gustafson.

Conroe conquest
Texan Scott Stephens had aspired for a long time to catch a bass that could be entered into his state s ShareLunker program and also to win a Big Bass Tour event at Lake Conroe. One fortuitous cast with a crankbait last week fulfilled both of those goals.

Scott Stephens said the 14.25-pounder he caught recently at Lake Conroe swam in circles like a shark before coming to the net.

He knows this because he says thats roughly how long it took him to land a 14.25-pound bass at Lake Conroe last Friday during the Big Bass Tour hourly tournament and he doesnt recall exhaling until his son-in-law netted the fish and lifted it into the boat.
Browning announces return to Ranger

As the 2021 Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour readies to start the season at Sam Rayburn Reservoir later this month, veteran competitor Stephen Browning has announced he is returning to the boat manufacturer he began his career with in back in 1996.
