Aligarh: Prominent superannuated faculty member of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Prof Nabi Ahmad, Department of Education passed away after a brief illness.
Extending condolences, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor said that Prof Ahmad was a well known educationist and a sincere teacher. His demise is a personal loss for him and a big loss to the university community.
“He was an excellent academician and teacher with a wide following among students and colleagues,” said the Vice Chancellor.
Meanwhile, addressing an online condolence meeting held by the Department of Education, Prof Mujibul Hasan Siddiqui (Acting Chairperson) said that the untimely demise of Prof Ahmad is a big loss to the education fraternity.
Irfan Ahmad (61), Department of Museology chairman, and Assistant Prof Faisal Aziz (45) died in the past 24 hours, with their family members saying they displayed COVID-like symptoms.
