The run-off election has commenced in Bayelsa State with accreditation and voting going on in State Constituency 2 in the Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State. The accreditation and voting were observed at Polling Unit 6, Ward 7, Gbarain, for the run-off State Constituency election in Yenagoa Local Government Area of the State. Voters are reportedly standing in the queue to cast their votes for candidates of their choice.
There was a low turnout of voters at the re-run and bye-election for the State and Federal Constituencies election in parts of Kaduna State. Poling units visited including Narayi and Sabo wards in Chikun local government area witnessed poor turnout of voters in spite of early arrival of INEC officials with materials for the exercise, VON reports. Also, the units witnessed adequate presence of security agents who had taken position to ensure a hitch free exercise.
