A scourge of violence has swept through the Eastern Cape recently and claimed countless lives, leaving families to mourn the senseless deaths of their loved ones.
There are some crimes that are so gut-wrenching that it is hard not to despair. One such is the case we reported this week where a five-year-old boy slept all night on his mom’s lap, innocent to the fact she had been shot dead while watching TV and his dad had been slain in the bedroom next door. Then there is six-year-old Sinobom Tywantsi who lost his life this week after his throat was viciously slit.
Hogsback community leaders have called on tourists to not be discouraged from visiting the countryside village known for its tranquility which attracts both local and foreign tourists, after this week’s double murder. Two academics were found dead on their property in the village’s main road on Monday.
