The Cultural Credibility Development Initiative (CCDI) has described the late President General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, as a man given to service, saying it was in the course of serving his people that he got overwhelmed with stress. CCDI, in a tribute on Thursday obtained by SaharaReporters, noted that after retirement from public service, Obiozor became the Ohanaeze’s President General in January 2020 and at a time “Igbo is challenged with insecurity, neglect, marginalisation and fierce agitation for inclusion in the national leadership equation.”
The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said those who brought Nigeria and Nigerians into the present confusion are the ones that were not supporting him. Obi, who spoke on Friday, shortly after signing the condolence register of late President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Prof George Obiozor, at the National Secretariat of Ohanaeze in Enugu State, however, dispelled the notion that some politicians in the South-East were not supporting him.
