Health Canada announced a recall for several “Anti-Microbe” hand sanitizer products that were distributed across schools in Quebec and Ontario.
In an advisory posted Friday, the agency said the company Atoms F.D. Inc was recalling several hand sanitizers due to the presence of benzalkonium chloride.
Health Canada warns that this higher concentration of benzalkonium chloride could cause itchy or dry skin in individuals and “in some cases, peeling, swelling or blistering can occur.”
Here is the list of products currently known to be affected by the recall.
