Amazon today announced a refresh of its Fire HD 10 tablets, as it tends to do every couple of years or so. However, in addition to a new Fire HD 10 and Fire HD 10 Kids Edition, Amazon also introduced the Fire HD 10 Plus today, which is a similar approach to what it did with the Fire HD 8 last year.
The new Fire HD 10 features some notable improvements over the previous generation, starting with adding 50% more RAM for a total of 3GB. It still has an octa-core 2.0GHz processor, so it should be fast enough for some basic tasks. It also still comes with either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The 10.1-inch display is Full HD with a 1920x1200 resolution, and Amazon says it should be 10% brighter than the previous generation.
