The first three volunteers to receive a dose of Nanocovax, Vietnam s first Covid-19 vaccine, are in stable condition three days after injection.
The anonymous volunteers, including two 20-year-old students and a 40-year-old teacher, were vaccinated on Thursday morning at Vietnam Military Medical University in Hanoi as Vietnam officially began human trials of the vaccine developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC.

Three-phase human trials of the first made-in-Vietnam Covid-19 vaccine is scheduled to complete in February 2022 after commencing Thursday.
Human trials of Nanocovax, the first Covid-19 vaccine in Vietnam developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC, began Thursday morning with two men and a woman in their 20s getting shots at Vietnam Military Medical University in Hanoi.
The vaccine trial will ultimately consist of three phases.

Human trials of Nanocovax, the first Vietnamese Covid-19 vaccine, began on Thursday morning with the first three subjects getting shots of it.
Two men and a woman, in their 20s, whose identities were not disclosed, were vaccinated at 8:00 a.m. at the Vietnam Military Medical University in Hanoi and were in stable condition after two hours. They will be monitored for 72 hours.
They were chosen from more than 200 volunteers who had registered for the trial of the vaccine developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC.

Vietnam will select 60 among 200 volunteers to be injected with Nanocovax, the first made-in-Vietnam Covid-19 vaccine approved for human trials, from Thursday.
Nguyen Ngo Quang, deputy head of the Administration of Science, Technology and Training under the Ministry of Health, confirmed around 200 people had signed up within a week to be vaccinated with Nanocovax, a Covid-19 vaccine developed by Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology JSC.

Nanocovax – one of Vietnam’s domestically developed vaccines for COVID-19 – has officially received volunteers for its human clinical trial phase. Meanwhile, three other candidates are each running their own race to come up with an approved COVID-19 vaccine for mass inoculation.
Developed by Vietnamese manufacturer Nanogen Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Nanocovax will be brought to human trials under the supervision of the Vietnam Military Medical University.
