Church Bros launches Little Gem retail pack

April 5, 2021 Church Bros. Farms developed a new clamshell for its Little Gem lettuce that protects and showcases the premium variety at retail. The new patent pending four-count clamshell is designed to protect the unique properties of the compact-sized lettuce while providing more product visibility on shelf. The package is stackable for multiple retail merchandising options and is 100 percent recyclable with more than 70 percent post-consumer material. Shoppers can easily open and reclose the clamshell for convenient use and storage at home. Church Brothers Farms utilizes a special variety of Little Gems and each head is hand trimmed to deliver the most tender and sweet lettuce. Little Gems are a cross between the crunchy texture of Romaine and the softer frilly texture of butter lettuce. The sweet and mild flavor can be used in a wide variety dishes, especially those with bold ingredients and flavors.
