Berghaus has appointed
Charlie Pym as its global brand director responsible for global product and marketing for the brand. He joins Berghaus from the cycling category having been the marketing director of McLaren’s Pro Cycling program, which launched Team Bahrain McLaren.
Before that, he was director of communications at Rapha and was managing partner at Saatchi and Saatchi where he led multi-disciplined teams encompassing consumer insights, brand strategy, communications planning, and digital design.
Pym said: “I’m passionate about the outdoors and feel incredibly lucky to have a role that will inspire more people to see and feel the wonder that sits beyond their front door. It’s never been a better time for Berghaus, given the major shifts we’re seeing in the outdoor sector and beyond, so it’s a pivotal time to shape the brand’s future.”

There were two surprises for the Natchez Trace Century Ride over the weekend. Over 1,000 cyclists joined professional cyclists, Robbie Ventura and Christian Vande Velde. Ventura signed up Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley for the ride, surprising other attendees and taking pictures with them. Ventura is a member of the U.S. World Team and has 70 wins under his belt while Vande Velde has finished in the top 10 of the Tour De France, twice and winner of the U.S.A. Pro Cycling Challenge.
It’s surprising when your favorite artist does something other than perform! Not sure what was harder. doing 100 miles in 4 hours and 30 minutes or going out in public without my shorts on ha. Spent most of the time behind @lukebryan wondering where his were too. Thanks @johncassimus@robbieventura@christianvdv for organizing this little adventure and help. and all the folks that put on the Natchez Trace Century ride in Jackson MS. Good times.
