South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran has been discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery for a knee injury. The surgery involved reconstruction and repair of cartilage, cruciate ligament, and meniscus injuries.
Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, who sustained a ligament tear while shooting a stunt sequence for the film "Vilayath Buddha," has announced that he is on the road to recovery. Prithviraj underwent keyhole surgery and will now undergo physiotherapy for a couple of months.
Fortunately, I'm in the hands of experts who performed keyhole surgery and I'm now recouping. It's rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months, said Prithviraj, 40 in a statement
Prithviraj Sukumaran's statement also means that due to the injury, the actor will need to take a break from work for around 2 to 3 months, to fully recover.
