Sombrero Fest aims to help revitalize downtown Laredo

A locally-owned family business is hosting Sombrero Fest on Saturday, July 31 as it aims to unite the community and help revive the downtown area.
Sombrero Fest will be one of the biggest events in the downtown area since the pandemic began. It will bring people and businesses together both for a good time and to help jumpstart the local economy.
“The Sombrero Fest is a family fun-filled event that will take place in the heart of downtown Laredo, specifically on the four streets surrounding El Mercado Plaza located within Hidalgo Street, Flores Avenue, Lincoln Street and San Agustin Avenue from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m.,” said Priscilla Pantoja, event organizer an owner of Mi Laredo Lindo. “The fest will include three musical performers:
