Nathan Jenkins takes up new role at Priory Learning Trust

Nathan Jenkins is now in place within the central team at The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) after nearly three years as principal at The King Alfred School An Academy (TKASA).  Nathan led the Highbridge academy to make it one of the region’s fastest-improving schools and will now help to drive improvements at TKASA, as well as Worle Community School Academy and Priory Community School Academy. 

School s former Principal becomes new Head of Improvement across Trust

A new Head of School Improvement, Nathan Jenkins, is now in place within the Central Team at The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT) after nearly three years as Principal at Highbridge’s King Alfred School Academy. Nathan led the Highbridge academy, engaging with a raft of TPLT improvements, to make it one of the region’s fastest improving schools. He has long, wide ranging experience, having successfully led schools for many years. He previously worked in South Wales and in Bristol schools. Nathan will now have a strong role in helping to drive improvements at King Alfred School Academy, as well as Worle Community School Academy and Priory Community School Academy.

Weston schools and key workers get meal donations

Priory students enjoying their Pappadoms takeaway meal. - Credit: Shane Dean Students and teachers were overjoyed by free curry and rice delivered by an Indian restaurant to their school. Pappadom s Indian in Milton Road has been delivering free food for staff and critical workers during the national lockdown. It has also delivered curries to more than 30 schools in the area. Pappadoms asked parents to nominate their school, which parents did in big numbers across the community. The takeaway also gave food to other schools across the town including Priory Community School Academy.  Delighted Worle Community School Academy students and staff tucked into the delicious meals at lunchtime on Monday.
