M. , the first of the firefighters arrive. It is already a well advanced fire. Two residents were found in windows and firefighters took them down by ground ladder. Reporter five residents injured, three taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation and minor injuries. One firefighter is treated on the scene, but returns to duty. The fire leaves at least 12 families homeless just days before christmas. The American Red Cross is working with 21 adults and 11 children displaced by the fire. Were providing funds for food, clothing, lodging, and we are also connecting them with other agencies out there. Weve made arrangements with Prince Georges County fire, police, and toys for tots so that the children who lost their something for the holiday.
