Last year was a somewhat scandalous one for sports in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Myers Park, West Charlotte and Julius Chambers High School all had to forfeit football seasons due to player eligibility issues. It’s one of the problems CMS althetic director Ericia Turner is focused on combatting, but it’s not the only goal she wants to tackle. Working on communication with parents and students is also at the top of her list. WFAE’s Sarah Delia caught up with Turner to hear her plans for making this school year a smoother one on and off the field.
