Hundreds of students at the South Loop selective-enrollment school participated in Monday’s demonstration, leaving their classes for a “sit-in” in the school’s lobby.
Students packed the school’s lobby, with many others overlooking the event from the second floor. A few students held signs toward the windows facing the street, some of which read, “You can’t hide the truth” and “Can you hear us now?”
