ELKINS On Feb. 16, three Randolph County administrators were presented the Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award. Each principal has demonstrated support of their military employees.
Penni Powell nominated Principal Carla Lambert, Assistant Principal Amrit Rayfield and Assistant Principal Brian Currence for supporting her position in the National Guard.
“I have three supervisors at my school where I serve as a professional teacher and club advisor,” Powell said. “All three of my supervisors go above and beyond to ensure both military service members in our building are well taken care of when preparing for and attending military trainings, events and deployments.
