Dean for Research Pablo Debenedetti will step down from his position as dean on June 30. He plans to take a sabbatical during the 2023-24 academic year and then retire from the University.
Bernanke, who was a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton from 1985 to 2002 and chaired the Department of Economics from 1996 to 2002, was awarded the prize "for research on banks and financial crises."
