Gerrards Cross bowls club celebrated their first final of the year, after they defeated Rosedale Park last weekend. The final saw David Simpson and Tim Godman be victorious in securing the pre-season Gerrards Cross Super Pairs, by defeating the Hayes-based team. Played on a blustery afternoon, the club won on all four rinks with the top rink being David Hall, Keith Young and Anthony Parrot. The competition sharpened the players for the coming season where expectations at The Cross are very high. The victory in the comp is also another feather in the club’s hat, as they have previously beaten Princess Risborough, Richings Park and Bassetbury Manor – some of the best teams in the region.
