Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge town councillors have this week voted in favour of delaying a final decision on the future of the town's Princess Theatre for a year while they implement a number of improvements and also investigate how other theatres in the region are run.

Bento Box Entertainment and Australian television and film production company Princess Pictures have formed Princess Bento Studio, an all-new animation studio that will produce and distribute animated content for platforms in the United States, Australia and Australian co-production treaty countries and around the world. Supported through Film Victoria, a statutory agency of the Victoria State Government, Princess Bento Studio will operate out of Melbourne.

THE creative team at The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre have released a series of online workshops to help with home-schooling. The workshops are delivered by artist, costume and theatre designers Catherine Hawkridge, who has worked for ITV, Aardman Animation and the Royal Opera House. Three art workshops are aimed at year 5 and 6 children, and are hosted on The Princess Theatre s Youtube channel. “The reaction from teachers and school children and it is great when we receive pictures of finished work, said Cllr Louise Parkin, chair of the Princess Management Committee. We are committed to assisting schools locally with a cultural and creative education programme at the Princess, now and in the future.”
