Turquoise is the jewel for December, and while it is not seen in many royal tiaras, it has appeared on some royals in various forms over the years. However, let’s take a look at some of our favourite royal turquoise tiaras around the world.
The Teck Turquoise Tiara
It is worn by the Duchess of Gloucester and is part of a set that includes a necklace, earrings and brooch. It was originally made for Queen Mary (born Princess Mary of Teck)’s mother, Princess Mary Adelaide of Cambridge, and the future Queen Mary inherited the jewels. Queen Mary later gifted it to her daughter-in-law, Princess Alice, Duchess of Glocester. It’s a rather large tiara that features diamonds with large turquoise jewels spread throughout.
