The Virginia Department of Health has confirmed a death from Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) – a health condition that is associated with COVID-19.

The child was between 10 and 19 years old and lived in the Prince William Health District, the Virginia Department of Health said in a news release.
The first child in Virginia has died from the multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19 in children, the state Department of Health reported Friday.
