Some indigenes of Oyo town, on Tuesday, stormed the Oyo High Court in Awe, Afijio Local Government Area of the State, to protest the delay in the selection of new Alaafin of Oyo. The aggrieved protesters were armed with placards carrying different inscriptions, which include “Oyo Mesi follow tradition, not money; Alaafin stool is not for sale; On Alaafin: Let dignity reign; Alaafin: Due process, Ife consultation are sacrosanct and a host of others.”
