Gas and diesel prices dropped on Prince Edward Island Friday, just three days before an increase in the federal carbon levy is expected to add an almost equal amount to the price of a litre.
The price for diesel was the highest on Prince Edward Island Friday morning and also over two in New Brunswick, but that rise for gas and diesel will come with additional costs.
Fuel prices were up across the board on Prince Edward Island Friday morning, contributing to significant increases in diesel and heating oil this month.
