KUWAIT CITY, May 5: MP Osama Al- Shaheen forwarded queries to His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid about the rationale behind the decision issued on May 3, 2021 to prevent citizens from travelling abroad unless they are vaccinated against covid-19 even if their destination does not impose vaccination as an entry condition. He asked if any of the expatriate workers in the private sector were exempted from the provisions defined by the Higher Committee for addressing coronavirus crisis regarding their entry to Kuwait during the crisis.
He wants to know if the fourth batch of foreign medical teams got vaccinated before arriving in Kuwait, if the expatriate workers at the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs were vaccinated before entering the country, and if these workers were exempted from the travel regulations because the two ministries need their services. Speaker invites MPs to April 27 and 28 ordinary sessions
KUWAIT CITY, April 25: National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim invited the MPs to the ordinary sessions slated for April 27 and 28, 2021. Items in the agenda include the grilling motions against His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid, which were dismissed according to the decision of the Assembly to suspend deliberations on such grilling motions until the next parliamentary round.
The grilling motion filed by MPs Ahmed Mutei Al-Azmi and Soud Bu Sleeb against Minister of Health Dr Bssel Al-Sabah will be discussed as well, in addition to voting on eight incoming letters that include the resignation letter of MP Yousef Al-Fadala and letters to assign the Negative Phenomenon to study the causes of rising violence and drug addiction cases and then present solutions and recommendations.
