VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World campaign helped mobilize over 26 million COVID-19 vaccine doses and $302 million to the ACT-Accelerator to provide equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, tests, treatments and other medical tools to the world’s most marginalized communities and healthcare workers on the frontlines.
VAX LIVE was taped at SoFi Stadium for a COVID 19-compliant audience composed of fully-vaccinated frontline healthcare and essential workers, and is the first large-scale music event held at the stadium. The goal of the VAX LIVE campaign was to ensure everyone, everywhere has access to COVID-19 vaccines and inspire vaccine confidence worldwide.

‘Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World,’ the music event designed to inspire vaccine confidence and help get them to everyone, will air on Insight TV’s linear channels.
The concert, pre-taped at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, before an audience of vaccinated frontline healthcare and essential workers, is hosted by Selena Gomez. It includes musical performances by Jennifer Lopez, Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R, and joined by Ben Affleck, Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Gayle King, Jimmy Kimmel, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn, and Sean Penn.

It said the event scheduled to hold on May 8, 2021, would be used to call on governments, the private sector and philanthropists to commit towards securing the equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.
It said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, would serve as campaign chairs for the event.
The organisation also said President Joe Biden of the United States and his wife, Dr Jill Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris would make a featured appearance as part of the ‘We Can Do This’ national initiative to boost public confidence in the COVID-19 vaccines.
