COME August 1st, Saint Lucians will see a new minimum wage being enacted, government announced this week, and individuals are already assessing how will this latter development benefit workers.
Saint Lucia is setting the pace to reform its judicial system with the unveiling of a Halls of Justice project which is estimated at a cost of $143 million. Construction works are due to be completed within a two-year period.
With an allocation of $484.9 million from the 2024/25 Budget to the Government's Investment Portfolio, $299.3 million is earmarked for capital projects.These infrastructural works are aimed at bolstering public infrastructure such as roads, bridges, public buildings, schools, police stations and hospitals.
