BENIN CITY – Poised to strengthen reforms in the state’s healthcare sector, the Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration in partnership with Saving One Million Lives Programme, has distributed three Hilux vans to the State Health Insurance Commission, Department of Medical Services and the state’s Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
During the handing-over ceremony, representative of the state governor and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Osawonyi Irowa urged heads of the benefiting agencies and departments to put the vehicles to effective use and improve service delivery to Edo people.
He noted, “The vehicles were bought by the Edo State Government in collaboration and support from the Saving One Million Lives Programme to strengthen the delivery of healthcare services. The governor graciously approved for the health sector to have vehicles to carry out its activities.

Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Chairmen and members of the Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hospital Management Board ( HMB), Board of Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency and Board of Gombe State College of Health Sciences and Technology.
Others are Board of Gombe State College of Nursing and Midwifery and Board of Gombe state Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
