The Manitoba government is supporting Take Pride Winnipeg through a $46,000 grant that will be used to help educate Manitobans on the importance of waste diversion, recycling and keeping communit.
Take Pride has catalogued the state of city streets as part of its annual 'litter index,' and is now hoping Winnipeggers will get on board and help tackle the problem.
Advocates say a new initiative looking to bring together Pride organizations across Manitoba to share resources, including those in rural areas, is long overdue.
