Dartmouth Carnival 2021: What You Need to Know
The carnival is coming to town this weekend and everyone is excited. Bring the whole family for carnival games, rides, and all the delicious carnival food you have been craving since last summer. Here’s what you need to know before you head over to the Dartmouth Mall for your favorite ride and treat at Fiesta Shows.
This year’s Summer Carnival will be located in the parking lot of the old Sears Auto from Thursday, July 22 through Sunday, July 25 with a gate fee of $2 per person. With 14 carnival rides, six games, and four food wagons, there’s something for everyone at this season s favorite event.
Youth 31-day Pass (Ages 5-18): $16 - new lower price
The University of Iowa U-Pass and the Kirkwood Community College Semester Pass will continue to be honored on Iowa City Transit and Coralville Transit. We were sad to learn of the passing of Dave Glasser, a local businessman, friend and former owner of Catawba Interiors. Dave and I used to team up for a major annual golf match with Dick Thompson and my brother, Chuck. It was always a good time. Our condolences to his wife, Mary Ann, and his family.
As of this Saturday, May 1, the pedestrian traffic light on Perry Street at Lakeview Park and the City Beach becomes operational starting at 7 a.m. It has been on “flashing yellow” over the winter. So be on the lookout when driving on Perry Street in Port Clinton starting this Saturday.
