The calm before the storm and with the British jumps season having come to a thrilling climax on Saturday, six Flat meetings across Britain and Ireland start a fascinating week.
The pick of the day s racing comes from Navan where the Listed Anglesey Lodge Equine Hospital Woodlands Stakes (2.25) is the feature of an eight-race card.
Ayr hosts the first of its two-day meeting to herald the beginning of its Flat season, Lingfield and Southwell host all-weather afternoon fixtures and Windsor and Thirsk keep the action going well into the evening.

The jumps season might be over in Britain, but there is plenty still to play for in Ireland as the five-day Punchestown festival gets under way with three Grade 1s.

An impressive winner of the National Stakes on Irish Champions Weekend on just his second start â where recent Craven victor Master Of The Seas was fourth â the Zoffany colt finished third in the Dewhurst on his final outing.
While he was not disgraced behind St Markâs Basilica and Wembley, both trained by his father Aidan OâBrien, the former champion jockey feels faster ground could help him turn the tables.
UPDATED 7:20PM, APR 20 2021
Richard Hannon has confirmed impressive Newbury winner Snow Lantern will not run in the Qipco 1,000 Guineas next week.
The three-year-old filly shed her maiden tag in style at Newbury on Sunday and was promptly cut by bookmakers into as short as 7-1 for the fillies Classic at Newmarket on May 2.
However, Hannon released a statement that the daughter of Frankel would not try to emulate her dam Sky Lantern, winner of the 1,000 Guineas in 2013, and would instead be aimed at one of two targets at York next month.
Hannon said: Following discussions with connections, Snow Lantern will not be taking up her engagement in the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket and will instead be aimed for either the Group 3 Musidora Stakes or the Listed Michael Seeley Stakes at York s May meeting.
