Alleged Hawaii crime lord Michael J. Miske Jr. will stand trial alone after the last of his alleged co-conspirators entered into a plea agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice.
As part of a plea agreement, Preston M. Kimoto entered a guilty plea Monday before Chief U.S. District Judge Derrick K. Watson to a charge of conspiracy to commit kidnapping using a facility of interstate commerce.
Chief U.S. District Judge Derrick K. Watson granted a request to move the start date of Michael J. Miske Jr.’s trial from Sept. 11 to sometime in January. The U.S. Department of Justice had opposed pushing the trial’s start date into 2024.
An alleged co-conspirator of reputed Hawaii crime boss Michael Miske was charged with witness tampering Monday after he allegedly threatened a woman not to cooperate with the U.S. Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation.
