Reporter i cant get over how much like an action movie this entire scene today was when an alleged bank robbery known as the bicycle bandit was in the hospital behind me after police say he tried to kill High Pressure system in jail late last week. Kill himself in jail late last week. He overpowered two Security Guards, stole a gun and left the hospital in barefoot with nothing more than a hospital gown. He was shackled. Police were at a loss today to explain how 42yearold Wossen Assaye wrestled a gun from a private Security Guard and slipped out of the hospital unseen. I dont know exactly what restraints were on him at the time, but he was on the hospital gurney bed. Reporter investigators now believe assaye hid in the trunk of a womans car and popped up in her back seat as she drove through annandale.
