KINGWOOD A Preston County man is suing the town of Terra Alta after he was fired when he refused to take an older garbage truck that did not have current registration or a legal license.
Wesley D. Nazelrod worked for the town as a truck driver making $14 per hour and on Sept. 10, he was told to take out the older garbage truck to collect garbage because the newer one was not legal to drive yet, according to a complaint filed in Preston Circuit Court.
Nazelrod claims he refused because the older garbage truck did not have current registration, legal license, had no inspection sticker, no exhaust and no working lights or turn signals. One week later, Nazelrod was fired.
