general merrick garland have been briefed as we wait for this news conference. first, breaking news update live to nate foy. nate, what are we learning at this house? trace, police say the shooter opened fire at an old national bank in downtown louisville. you mentioned four people are dead. at least nine others are injured, which is one more than police last told us in the previous update. two police officers are injured. one of them is in critical condition and is undergoing emergency surgery this afternoon. the other officer is described as having less serious injuries and is expected to survive. kentucky governor andy beshear, the louisville major and the louisville police department are all praising the quick response from officers that arrived at the bank within three minutes of the shooting. we re expecting another press conference any second now. the last time that we heard from officials, governor beshear shared his personal connection to this attack. listen. thi
