In preparation for the Presque Isle Elks “Hooked on Fishing, Not Drugs” youth fishing derby, the Enfield hatchery of the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, on Thursday, June 1 will stock Mantle Lake in Presque Isle with 500 8- to 11-inch long trout.
Old and new traditions will mingle next week when the city of Presque Isle and Elks Lodge 1954 join forces for the second year to help residents celebrate the Fourth of July.
